This post was long overdue. It took me a long time to edit the photos because every time I did I just wasn't happy with the way they turned out. I'm still not completely happy but that happens.
On August 22, Rosendo and I decided to take a trip to Pennsylvania to see Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater home he designed for the Kaufmann's (you know, the department store). You aren't allowed to take pictures inside, so hopefully this post makes you plan your own trip, because the inside is just as stunning as the outside. The house is only a few hours from NE Ohio, and made for a great day trip.
One of the most stunning aspects of the experience, for me, was the fact that the house was built way before it's time. The entire tour I felt like I was time machined back into the 70s, but the house was actually built in the late 30s. After seeing this house I am making it my mission to see more Frank Lloyd Wright homes. If you're ever in the Pittsburgh area, you need to make the trip!

I loved it there so glad you went and visited! You should go check out all his houses in Chicago ;)
ReplyDeleteThere is one like 10 minutes from my house, that you can rent. It's a minimum of 2 nights though, and it's kind of pricey, but I want to do it at some point in my life.
